Maybe because it is a failure by anyones standards. Only and idiot can deny this. Also, Newt is a strong conservative, a group Bush abandoned long ago.

If Newt runs,I will vote for him,Right now he is the sharpest tool in the shed!
He doesn't hate President Bush, There has been alot of mistakes with the battle in Iraq and Newt knows this. You can't tie the hands of Our soldiers and win,and you can't worry about what other countries think. If your gonna fight a war go for it!

I think some Conservatives do respect and admire Gingrich. I've never been one of them.

His finger is in the air, testing the political winds, and he is planning a run in 2008. Politics, as usual.

He is right. Bush's war is a major disaster that has set off terrorism from East Asia through the Middle East and threatens our safety here in the USA

Although not real popular he has been thinking of tossing his hat in for Pres. so he's checking the political waters.
