I don't think there is anything wrong with dating agencies. There are lots of men out there in the same situation as yourself and if you don't try then you will always wonder. I was with an agency a long time ago and I had a great time. Although I didn't find a permanent partner there I know of people who have. My brother 'met' his partner in a chat room so you could try that as well. I say go for it...but be careful. I wouldn't mind meeting your ideal man too so if you find more than one perhaps you could point him this way! :) Good luck.

This is a male point of view I guess women have to be more careful I certainly alwys arrange a first date in a very public place.
OK, I have found i dating very disappointing. I am 63 but that doesn't seem to be the problem. Since I started 5 years ago (my wife died in 2000) I have been out with between 10 and 20 people. They were all nice, but only 2 of them interested me. The first was too soon and I wasn't really geared up for it. The second is lovely and I am quite hopeful. But it has taken 5 years to find anyone like that.
I was so unexcited by the others. I have come to the conclusion that in the real world you reject people without realising it and only go for people who send you the right signals. What those signals are I don't know.
The trouble is of course that as you get older it is harder to meet people in the real world. Middle aged people aren't unattractive they are just busy. The person I am somewhat excited by has a teenage daughter, a demanding job AND has just started a PhD. Issnot easy! Well I get to see her every 2/3 months.
I guess you should try it but be careful and don't expect too much.
Oh, and good luck.

I sugest you have a go and go have a look at the dating services with an open mind. Yes there are some geeky looking men but there are also some nice fellows that dont get out and work late and have no time for socialising. So good luck

A word of advice! Do yourself a favor and spend the money to get a background check on each of the men you date from a service. I did that and am glad I did. The guy was arrested times for stalking and, as well, as using the Social Security Card of his DEAD father! The fees are about $30.00-$50. I used KnowX.com, however, there are others out there, such as Intellius.com
Good luck and have fun.

properly i've got been on one in the past and that i'm able to inform you that it will say that they have got been energetic interior of a 24 hour era for 3 days time. whilst they have been no longer logged into their account for 3 days then it says no longer energetic for 3 days. besides the fact that in the event that they have not blogged into their account for 2 days it nevertheless says they have been energetic with in the final 24 hours. See activity on those websites, or atleast the on I had tried out does not replace everday. it quite is replaced into the two "energetic interior of 24 hours" "energetic interior of three days" "energetic interior of a week" etc. there replaced into no energetic 2 days in the past or energetic 4 days in the past. So if I have been you i might supply it yet another day or 2 and spot if it says he has nevertheless logged in in the final 24 hours, if it does, you recognize he continues to be finding. to boot does this actually matter variety? Did you adult males chop up up over some thing petty or replaced into some thing extra severe in contact as a results of fact i'm able to inform you at the instant, that it takes a particular form of person to cheat o somebody else. look if he cheated on you in the past, he will likely do it returned. in case you adult males chop up over some thing stupid, you recognize you may consistently voice your concerns to him. tell him what you discovered. If he's a competent guy he would be uncomplicated and up front with you. If he's no longer you will comprehend it by his reaction in case you do tell him what you discovered and your concerns you have now.

I know two people who've tried Eharmony.com and match.com respectively. Both have very good things to say. They've both met really nice guys. Don't get me wrong...there have been some duds but more good than bad.

I like eharmony much better. It's much more expensive, but it's very controled and easier to get positive results that the other sites. People seem more commented to what they want to eharmony.
