I am 50% effaced, 1cm dilated and baby is at -2 station. how close am i to labor?

Could be quite awhile, especially if it is your first baby. You can stay that way for several weeks.

I was 4 cm, and 90% effaced and continued to work full time as a staff nurse in the hospital for 4-5 weeks before I was induced at 42 weeks.
You don't say how far along you are, but you could go on for quite a while, especially if this is your first.

It always depends on you some times you could be hours from labor and other times you could still be 2 weeks it depends on you if you walk alto and clean alto it help induce your labor some people go as far as riding around in a car hi ting bumps to help and this has been prov in to be safe i have five children i know what I'm talking about trust me if you want this Ive with i would say walk up and down steps and clean alto too this will help speed your labor proses quickly .

you could be there for a while, i am 39 weeks today and am at the same point, i have been like this for a week. with no changes other than painful BH contractions!!! hang in there!

well you dould be 2 sec away to active labour depending on how relaxed you are, labour can range in times so good luck and remember to breathe

You can go like that for weeks, or hours. Theres no way of knowing.

if this is your first baby I would reckon about 4 hrs away but all births are different and you should check with ;your midwife
