Because people have more money than brains. It's just a pair of shoes. It's like why are jeans now so expensive when they were originally designed for the working man. That's society nowadays.

I think they are overly priced because he knows people will pay that much money for a pair of shoes. The best thing now is Stephon Marbury's clothing line and shoe line that is out for only 15 dollars a pair and 10 dollars for clothes and jeans. He knows that its not right to make people pay that much for shoes so he made his line really cheap. Check it out www.starbury.com

the shoes cost the company a couple of dollars to manufacture. Due to marketing and idiots who drive up the demands, the company relish on the profit generated by sales.

I think they are too EXPANSIVE. In my opinion, he has way too many out. When he played, he had one style each year and that was enough. Now he has so many, it's become ridiculous.
