I've seen Robin Hood films where they dont burn down the village. Disney's Robin Hood along with another put out in 1927(?).

In Howard Pyle's book they don't burn down any villages, so I am suprised they do in movies.

That is like asking why do they always kiss in a love story. Or why does someone die in a murder mystery, or . . . well you get the point. Anyway, did they burn the village down in the Robin Hood with Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman?

I spoke of it the former day (Wed 12/05) and theory it change into very reliable. the purely undesirable element were numerous the accents yet they weren't undesirable adequate to smash the movie. that is way a lot extra efficient than that overhyped piece of crap that starred Kevin Costner called Prince Of Thieves. i imagine Robin Hood (2010) is one among, if no longer, the suited Robin Hood video clips i have ever seen. a distinct ought to observe. convinced they replace the tale slightly (ie Maid Marion transforming into woman Marion) even if it would not stop the movie being a reliable. actually that is a breath of unpolluted air instead of re-telling the same tale repeatedly. This one tells of his existence before being an outlaw and how he got here to be an outlaw. My mum stated she spoke of an interview with Russel Crowe who stated his accessory change into in accordance with a Yorkshire accessory. If that change into the case, then he did a miles extra efficient job than Josh Hartnett in Blowdry.

Which version do they burn the village down? I don't remember that in the Errol Flynn version, the Costner version, the Sean Connery version, or the Mel Brooks one.
