I don't get it. They're showing great bands and giving them an oppurtunity to have a much bigger fanbase. What's so wrong with it?

I don't know what MTV you get. The one I get doesn't show bands and hasn't for over ten years.

The problem with Music TeleVision is that it is no longer Music Television...I may only be 23 but I remember when you could turn to MTV and see music videos....even MTV 2 has fallen by the wayside....Also...99% of the music out there does suck and MTV refuses to play anything that isn't mainstream and heavily promoted.

MTV needs to go back to more music. Not just shows. They seem to only play music in the early mornings.

When MTV was first started, they did almost exclusively videos.
NOw its stupid game show and "reality" shows about losers who are gonna get NEXTED. The music is raw and offensive to many.
I was around and watched MTV alot in the 70's. They had a wider selection and generally better shows.

MTV took music from being about talent to being about looks. Its all visual now. Thats why there is so very little music today worth listening to.

this is just my opinion, but i think MTV sucks....i don't know how they can call themselves music tv when 99% of the air time is allocated to idiotic shows like 'the real world'...mtv lost all credibility a long, long time ago

People are against it because it is literally telling young people to have sex at an early age before marriage . I just dont find it right.

When they dropped Beavis and Butthead, the other cool cartoons and music that didn't suck, that is when they lost my respect and viewing eyes. Now it is all crap that hurts my brain.
