I already asked a questions about if i needed java.. Many said yes because I wasnt able to compose emails or view them, and having issues with other websites.. You also said to try system restore, but when i click that program, that also comes up blank. Any other suggestions..also.. whats the name of the java i should use? I have windows XP media center addition. Sorry for the bother.. thanks

try lowering the security settings of internet explorer, turn the firewall offf, and see if you can get web pages to load up.

It doesn't sound like you have a real grasp on the problems you are trying to describe. I think it would help if you make a list of what you cannot do with your computer. Then call the manufacturer's technical support line. Media center should be still in the free tech suppport window and I think they can best help you. Looks to me like everyone is guessing at what you should do. Talk to the experts. Good Luck

You may have to reformat your computer. Or if you have the original installation cd's or dvd's then you might be able to do a repair. Just put them in and reboot, should do the rest for you. You could also try to restart in safe mode and see if you can fix the problems from there (Safe mode reboot and hold down F8). Or see what is loading when you start your computer, after your computer starts go to run and type in msconfig and see whats in startup that you don't recognize.

OK it was me who wrote you , ok , the site is ww.java.com , now im sorry to say this but you have either a virus or a spyware , those are the ones that damage the .dll file that is use to EXECUTE ANY PROGRAM on your xp , now do you have system restore cd , if not then we have to make one

bring up interent explorer/ got to tools/internet options/security/default make sure your level is set to medium
