a review on the amazon page says it doesn't come with hardware, what does this mean?

The Pearl set looks pretty decent. The one at amazon is a piece of junk. Try checking out Tama. They are the best medium to low priced brand. Their stuff is made real well. I have one. It's a really good set, strong, and very good for the price.

This is a decent starter kit. Hardware refers to throne, cymbols, pedals and stands. They add a significant cost to the kit. Drum sets almost never come with hardware.
