Edge on, and towards me. Tuppence is better, how about a pound? A two-pounder?

Presumably a philosophical penny?

And do you mean what is the most likely outcome? Or is it better to get Heads or Tails? Or what is the best way to physically throw a penny into the air?

In order the answers are: - Equally likely, Neither unless you called one, put it on your thumb and flick it upwards.

Still not sure why this is in philosophy though.

Instructions on how to flip a penny:

1. hold penny between thumb and pointed finger.
2. throw penny in air.
3. catch penny

as for heads or tails, if you do it enough times it should come out just about 50-50

It depends on your preference.

Most people tend to say "tails" for whatever reason. It has just always been the most popular by far.

Other people say "heads." There may be some characteristic of the people who choose heads that is different from those who choose tails, but I'm not sure what it is.

Personally, I always choose tails.

... it doesn't matter. It's all chance as long as you flip correctly. If you're one of those people who are like, "Well, if I start with heads, then there MIGHT be a greater possibility that ___ will be the outcome," then just spin the damn penny.
