Just along the lash line

Well, You need to get as close to your lash line as possible. Keep a steady hand so the eyeliner is smooth and even. I don't like to put eyeliner across my whole top eyelid. I like to gradually make a line to the outside of my eyelid. So the veryinner part doesn't have any. Having more eyeliner on your bottom lid is more dramatic, depending on the person. I really like the automatic sharpening eyeliners, not the pencil type, because they glide better. So if you're looking for a more natural look, just keep to smooth, even, and close to the lashes.

where you have natural shadows like at the corners of your eyes or along the lash line. if you have naturally blonde or brown lashes use a deep brown for the brown and a light brown for the blonde. also don't apply it heavily or else you will look fake. get a good quality pencil liner that's soft (test on hand). this will help alot. good luck

apply it inbetween your eye and your lashes. go right on that line. its hard to do because if your not carful you can poke your eye. so use a steady hand. I do it all the time. it looks less messy to me. and It looks more natural. though eyeliner doesn't really look natural to me.

I would suggest applying a very thin line on your upper lid. While applying it, almost touch your eyelash with the pencil. Make sure you apply very gently. It will also make your eyelashes appear fuller.

try using a brown eye liner for a more natural look. Black can be stark.

as close to your top eyelashes as possible, that makes it look like you have fuller lases rather than some black line on your eyes
