I believe that it is a very sophisticated country, full of beautiful art, wonderful food, and a very clean way of living. But when you think about what happened with France with the War in Iraq, France was very wrong.

What is there not to like about France except that sometimes it can be expensive even in small villages.Your way of voting and using the second ballot is quite confusing and it makes it easy for extremist parties or politicians to gain power (Sarcosi). The cuisine I think is beautiful, the only problem is when you go to a nice restaurant and are really looking forward to some real french food and wine and they have things like chicken nuggets and chips on the menu. You are also just as bad as us British at learning foreign languages ( not you personally your English is good) but the majority simply refuse to learn English. All in all France is a great diverse country from Paris to Perpignan there are many different cultures and religions. I'm going to work there in July so I may be a little biased lol. You said you were going to New Zealand, as France has the reputation of its people being arrogant, the kiwis really are arrogant I think you would be better staying in France. Alex

You'll be fine here, trust me. My opinion on France doesn't count because I grew up there, so I won't say anything here, but generally the New Zealanders like all Europeans, and are just like Europeans themselves. You'll see, the people here are so much like... hm, what, actually... I'd say the kiwis are a lot like Belgians/ Dutch/ Danes/ Welsh/ Irish. Broad statement, I know, but it kind of nails it. You'll see when you get here. New Zealand is a North-Western European country in almost every respect, and if it suddenly surfaced somewhere between Ireland and Northern Spain in the Atlantic, I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised...

OMG i wish i lived in France. I would love to travel around France a possibly live there. I don't really know a lot about french politics. But when i think of your cooking i think puffy souffles, savory wines and cheeses and Delicious seafood. And Creamy sauces. Way of living- easy lifestyle and slow long meals and just perfect way to live. I think you are the kind of people that i want to be that just live life to it's fullest and are really skinny. Viva La France. Good Luck on your move.

I think the French Culture is very elite. The food Delicious and country amazing. I've been to France many times and maybe because I'm Hispanic, french people were very nice and pleasant with me. Are you sure you want to leave your country??

I love Paris, I think it's one of the most beautiful cities in the world. And despite what most americans say about French people being rude, I found them (you) to be very nice and welcoming. I also had a lot of good food. I want to take my wife there, hopefully some day soon.
