NEW ORLEANS IS A WAR ZONE THEY HAVE THE SAME MURDER RATE THIS YEAR AS LAST YEAR. ONLY THING IS THAT THEY HAVE HALF THE PEOPLE.
HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT NO ONE WANTS TO COME BACK. THEY HAVE FOUND BETTER LIVES IN OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY. NEW ORLEANS WAS A CRIME ZONE THE DRUGS ARE RAMPANT. THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO NEW ORLEANS WAS THE HURRICANE. THE ONES THAT DID NOT LEAVE WERE WARNED NOT TO EXPECT HELP. HOW MUCH MORE DO YOU NEED TO BE TOLD. THIS IS A GOVERNMENT OF RED TAPE. GOOD WILL IS FOR THE CLERGY.
IF ANOTHER HURRICANE TAKE THE SAME PATH, WE WILL HAVE THE SAME RESULTS. NEW ORLEANS SITS BELOW SEA LEVEL AND PERSONALLY THEY SHOULD GIVE THE LAND BACK TO NATURE. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY TO FILL WHAT SHOULD NATURALLY BE MARSH LAND. I DON'T WANT MY TAX DOLLAR GOING TO CONSTANTLY REBUILD A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN AGAIN HOW MANY TIMES WILL THEY REBUILD IT BEFORE THE LAKE AND OCEAN TAKE THEIR NATURAL COURSE. WHY DIDN'T THE STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT BUILD PROPER LEVY'S IN ALL THE HISTORY OF NEW ORLEANS ? DO YOU THINK THAT BLAMING BUSH FOR THE PROBLEMS THAT CAME FROM A HURRICANE WILL CHANGE ANYTHING. THE STORY IS GETTING OLD. WE HAVE OTHER PROBLEMS NOW AND THE LOCAL GOVT. HAS DONE NOTHING WHY IS IT THAT ANYONE WOULD EXPECT SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT. YOU WANT TO LIVE THERE THEN YOU FIX IT. PLENTY OF MONEY WAS PAID OUT TO THE VICTIMS OF THE KATRINA. YOU HAVE A ONE SIDED VIEW ALL OF THE NEW ORLEAN VICTIMS GOT PAID. BILLIONS HAVE BEEN SHELLED OUT TO MAKE SURE THEY GET RELOCATED AND START A BETTER LIFE AWAY FROM THE CRIME ZONE THAT IS NEW ORLEANS.

Just like any job,There is a chain of command. The Governor of La failed the people of N.O. The mayor failed them. They had plenty of warning to get out. Was the President suppose to go to N.O. and drive a school bus house to house.
After Katrina the people were provided with plenty of $$ from the government and other resources. The credit cards were definitely a wrong idea, Can you imagine grown adults buying food etc. instead of xboxes etc. You can't help people that won't help themselves.
What about the winter blizzards out in the Northwest every year,I don't hear those people whining all the time.
Us in Florida picked up the mess and kept on keeping on. There are still blue tarped roofs all over the place!
There were so many people down there dependent on the government, they don't know how to make it on their own. It's time they get off their butts and go out and make a living. This is a big country and there is plenty of jobs. C~YA

nicely, definite - we did help ourselves. you may desire to understand the severity of issues. For one, definite there replace into flooding, even though it did no longer wipe an entire element of the rustic off the map, like Katrina did to New Orleans. it is likewise crammed with those that at the instant are not as undesirable as those in New Orleans. we are conversing the areas that have been hit right here in WI have been summer season properties and 2d properties. the people right here had the money to repair issues. and likewise being heavily farm u . s . a ., there are lots of those with the heavy equipment already obtainable to assist their friends. people help one yet another in the Midwest. It has consistently been that way, and it consistently would be. even nonetheless they have been the two failures, you're evaluating apples and oranges right here. the variety of people effected, the quantity of harm, and the point of harm are very distinctive. I have not have been given any subject with the people effected via Katrina getting extra help than we did. no longer a topic for me in any respect. i be attentive to that the people down the line gets their front-end haulers and head down if i desire them to. And my husband and that i've got been financially in a position to get ourselves back on our feet after issues. i could no longer think of the point of devastation that they had in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Actually Bush and FEMA, did all in the power to help. If they had done any more they would have over stepped the constitution or had to declare Marshall law. It was actually legally up to the states to protect the people, in this case the national government is only allowed to supplement the states. If Pres. Bush had gotten more involved we would be hear about how he had trampled on the constitution. It was up to the Mayor to oversee evacuation with the help of the Governor. And up to the Governor to provide relief with the help of FEMA.

Cheney gave more money to Katrina Victims than all of the Democrat Congressmen put together. (Check his tax returns.)
Cheney gave more than all the loudmouth pinkos in Hollywood.
Some people "talk".
Some people "walk the walk".
Cheney and Bush walk the walk.
I hope you just don't talk.
I hope you donated, too. I did. (Maybe that's why I don't just talk.)

Last time I checked it was the responsibility of a standing President to execute the laws of the land. It is OUR resposibility to step up to the plate and give to those victims EVEN IF WE HAVE TO GO HUNGRY TO DO IT. WE ARE RESPONSIBLE, not the government. WE. Say it to yourself - nobody is responsible for alleviating suffering EXCEPT MYSELF. IF I DON'T HELP THE HOMELESS, THEY WILL STARVE. Get it?

Bush is already over spending one billion dollars a week in Iraq, and you know Iraq is his legacy and want to make sure whatever he had in mind for Iraq happens, no expenses denied. Denied for the U.S. people but not for the Iraqis. For all anyone knows, Bush and Cheney are already deed holders of the oil wells in Iraq.
