At the moment I am leaning towards being a happy simpleton.
You know what they say though... "The Grass is always greener..."

It's certainly better for ourselves to be happy while we are alive. But, on the other hand, our life is so brief -a mere flapping of a butterfly's wings- and a simpleton leaves nothing behind ... his memory will soon fade, nothing will remain.
However, from the life and works of a genius, the rest of humanity benefits. Take Beethoven, for example or many others like him.
Could I, then, choose be a happy genius? Someone like Bill Gates?

I can think of no better reason for being here (life) than to be happy. So, if they are my only two options, it's gotta be the happy simpleton.
