The word CONCLUSION has three usages or meanings :
1 A conclusion is something that you decide is true as a result of knowing that other things are true. Example : Only one conclusion can be drawn from that statement.
2 The conclusion of something that has been taking place is its ending. Synonym : end Antonym : opening Example : At the conclusion of the opening session, cheers were raised for the Queen.
3 The conclusion of a treaty or a business deal is its settlement. Example : The incident took place in Baghdad during the conclusion of peace with Iran.
Besides these, the phrase 'in conclusion' is used to indicate that you are just about to say the last thing that you want to say. Synonym : finally Example : In conclusion, let me suggest a number of practical applications.
