You should only put one piece of bread in each slot at a time, putting more than one will overheat the toaster

Maybe itsa male toaster , and yer sooooo hot that as soon as ya touch it ,............. it overheats.
Try leaving your hand off of it when ya make toast . :oP

seriously,.... toasters are cheap appliances.The reostat (sp?) that makes the coils heat up may be defective,or not the right one.

Sometimesi toasters do that. Just buy a new one!!! It's not really that important. or just leave stuff in it for a shorter time. common sense!
