Pythagorus was born anywhere between 585 and 500 bc on the island of Samos. He influenced many philosophers including platos.
Remember in high school the Theorum: a2+b2=c2? that was him.

exactly? no one knows. Some say 580, some say 569 and of course anything in between. It is widely accepted that he was born on the Island of Samos.
