If he's good and has a full understanding of what he's doing I would not see a problem with it.

Dude, coming from a guy who has worked in an automotive repair shop, and I've hung sheetrock, trust me when I say nobody, at least no *guy*, is gonna look at you funny just because of where you work. Guys might rag on ya a little bit, but you have *so* many potential come-backs. Examples...
"Hey, this guy paints womens nails for a living!"
"Yup, and I make twice your paycheck doin it."
""
"I have women coming up and talking to me every day of the week. How about you?"

If you know your stuff, I'd say heck yes!
I'd rather have a guy who knew what he was talking about than a girl who told me to wear clown makeup! LOL but yeah, I totally think so!
OMG I am totally for it!
If you're looking for that job, you've got all my support!
And, since most guys aren't afraid to tell the truth, they might be better to ask for makeup advice.
Best~

yes and you should just walk into your local store and see if there are some men working now. In big cities it is very common. see for yourself in your town. Also google professional make up schools. They exist and some people go there to get training.

Definately, I visit my male friend who does that sort of thing all the time at the mall. He's even nice enough to do my makeup for me all the time! :)

You know, I honestly don't think there is anything wrong with it.
If you have the skills and qualifications, then go for it!
There are going to be people that say things at you but screw them with no lube! lol
No, seriously, dude, if you're interested, then go for it.
No one can stop you.
Best wishes.
