I got fired yesterday and now I'm wondering what is next in line. I would like to go back to school, but I really need another job because I am the only one able to earn income in my home. My grandmother is retired and my mother recently had a stroke. So, what's next?

I was making $10/hour and my major is Film. I was a data entry clerk/adminstrative assistant.

You could always try doing freelancing jobs until you get another job. You can make some good money doing this online and maybe you will not need that job anymore.
Heres a great link if you do consider this.

First apply for your unemployment benefits, register with the service to do a mass job search and register for all temp services. If I were you I would try applying at any local community colleges or nearby university. One of my professors worked as a janitor for the University of Illinois and was able to complete her masters degree free of charge. As a student myself I always look for employment within the college, when you sign up for financial aid they will ask if you would like info on work study programs, try here. You will be able to pick a job that pays only minimum wage, but you will be employed and in shcool all at the same time. Good Luck! .

Oh I can relate to your situation more than you can imagine. Just start to look for a new Job like yesterday. Get your resume in tip top shape. Look, things happen for a reason & keep focused on the future & your skills. Nobody can take your knowledge, experience & skills from you...use them to your advantage. Good luck & don't let the past get you down.
In the meantime try to file for unemployment if you qualify.

Sorry to hear that you lost your job. You could always go find a part time job and go to school part time or you could try to find full time job and take some online classes. You need to just type up a resume and start applying. Good Luck!!!!

Learn from why you got fired and move on with your life.
It is up to you what you do when and where.
Get involved with your local church for more reasons than the three mentioned.
