log p^5 to the base p is 5

2.log 100 to the base 2 is 1/ log 2 to the base 100
=1/log 2 to the base 10*log 10 to the base 100
=1/0.3010*0.5
=6.645

1: If you mean log(base p) of p^5, that's 5. So the answer is 1 - 5 or -4.

Sorry, I don't know the change-of-base formula, so I can't help you with 2.

1. logp[5p] = logp[5] + logp[p] = logp[5] + 1
2. log(100)/log(2) = 6.644
