Every year on the 100th day of school there is an art competition. The project must be made from 100 of the same items and be able to be carried by the child in and out of the school (portable). Any ideas?

1. One hundred helium filled balloons that are tied vertically and are permanent markered from the lowest to the highest 1 to 100.
2. One hundred milk jug caps arranged flat on decorated cardboard in this sunflower seed pattern:

3. Two hundred smiley faces print-outs glued back to back to make one hundred pockets filled lightly with toilet tissue and arranged/stapled creatively, such as in a four-sided pyramid:

Well, the popsicle sticks is probably the most popular for that.
But Id say what about paper.
Folded paper, with all its colors, could be bent in such a way as to create a pretty good structure, that you could decorate on the outside.
Has lots of possiblities.

Or what about 100 balloons, as in animal balloon type stuff where you bend em about.

Even 100 gingerbread cookies could do, to build an ultimate gingerbread structure.

100 lego pieces could build something

or 100 cards stacked and taped together could create a nice little building that wouldnt be too heavy and with tape could make the ultimate card house.

Ive seen this paperclip CHRISTmas tree. Dont have the design but search throughout the internet might get you a picture to use as refernce.

I could keep going, but I think thats aenough for a start

Good luck

I liked the collage idea out of dried peas or macaroni. You could also use 100 matchsticks to create a building or bridge. How about finger knitting 100 plastic grocery bags into a scaff or flag. Have fun!

Try making an image of the school mascot out of macaroni or dried peas.
