I live in Nashville Indiana, also known as Brown County the artists colony. We are a small village in the Hoosier Hills, just about 15 miles in any direction from a large city and about 40 miles southwest of Indianapolis. We are still small town and quite rustic and fall is the "tourist" season, to see the foliage . visit the village, and the state park. Brown County has lots of shops that are quite unique with locally made jewelery, stained glass, furniture, quilts, leather, pottery and food ( we are known for fried biscuits and apple butter) In the 1960's a lot of hippies came into the area and started making a decent living with their trades so they stayed! Before that in the early part of the 19th century artists came from all over to paint in the scenic locations. The quaitness of our small town is still so evident. We also have the Little Opry with the same stars that appear all over the world. We were voted one of the top ten places to retire in the U.S. If you are interested I'm sure you can look up Brown County Indiana on the internet and judge for yourself. I love it here!!!!!!!!

My hometown of Gadsden, Alabama was recently voted America's most livable city. It's a lovely city located on the Coosa River. There is a fairly wide-open job market, housing and living expenses are low, and there are lots of cultural and sporting events to take part in. The weather here is great. Winter's are quite mild. Most of all, the poeple are terrific. They are so friendly and helpful. It's Southern hospitality at its best!

San Antonio Texas,
Great food from all cultures are represented here.
close enough to the gulf to enjoy the water, but not hurricanes,
people are cool and don't get in your face. winter lasts around 4 or 5 days. Lady's are very nice and don't swear and spit or fart in public. And the bugs go to sleep when the sun goes down. Great clubs, stores are the best,
