Monster.com and Vault.com are good places to start. They do have pay options if you want more features, but it's a good place to start.

Are you in high school? Speak to your counselor or work study advisor to see what opportunities there are for you to explore your options?

In college? Your school should have some sort of career services/placement office. They can help guide you in what may interest you, personality tests you can take, and general career/job ideas/suggestions. It should be for the most part unless you want special options.

Do you know anyone in a field that possibly interests you? Talk to them to find out how you can break into the field. See if they know people who are looking for extra help or interns.

Talk to your friends and ask why they enjoy what they do. It can help you decide why you like what or what you don't like.

Good luck!

The U. S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics has an online Occupational Outlook handbook at http://www.bls.gov/oco/

For hundreds of different types of jobs the Occupational Outlook Handbook tells you:

the training and education needed

earnings

expected job prospects

what workers do on the job

working conditions

In addition, the Handbook gives you job search tips, links to information about the job market in each State, and more.
