You have to use trigonometry; that is, the SOHCAHTOA rules.

SOH: sin = opp/hyp
CAH: cos = adj/hyp
TOA: tan = opp/adj

We have our hypotenuse, and we need our opposite, so we have to use SOH.

sin(4.5) = opp/(1.14)

Therefore, opp = 1.14 * sin(4.5).

opp is representative of the altitude.

Remember when calculating 4.5, to ensure your calculator is set to DEG (for degrees) as opposed to RAD (for radians).

If you look at this as a very narrow triangle with two sides that are about 1.14 miles, and think of it as close to a right angle ... you
can use an engineering trick, for small values of an angle
sin(angle) ~ angle ... in radians.

4.5 degrees is a pretty small angle, so if you convert it to radians, and multiply it by the distance 1.14 miles the answer
you get will be pretty close to an exact answer.

For example:
4.5 degrees = 0.025 radians ....
so .025 * 1.14 miles = .0285 miles
or .0285 * 5289 feet = 150 feet

the question is not clear, but if by from you mean "for", then
1.14sin 4.5=.08944 miles

(I think)

1.14sin4.5 = 0.0894
