wanting to buy a car, need about $2 or $3K more, what should i do?

try to work additional jobs
try to study more about other fields to be able to work on it

I am not sure it will be quick, but you can get one or more jobs and save everything you can. Perhaps you could work after school, in the evenings and/or on weekends. Fast food restaurants are always in need of people to work. Most will accomodate your class schedule. This time of year, most retailers are in need of seasonal help through the holidays, some pay commission in addition to your hourly pay. If you are frugal, you can save a lot of money within a short period of time. You don't want to spend so much time working that you neglect your studies. Your school work is much more important than buying a car.
