just got a new mp3 player and wanted to know how many songs it will hold.

if the size of the song about 4 mb
then u can put about 32 songs

You should have purchased something much bigger. For under $100, you could have found a 1 or 2GB MP3 player. 128MB will get you only about 25-30 songs, depending on song quality and length.

most mp3 players will also play wma which only take up about half as much space. so if you convert your mp3 tracks to wma you will get twice the amount.

the average album is 40-60mb. so figure about 25-30 songs or so.
that is if the song is encoded at 128kbs *the most common* but if you encode it at 64kbs you can fit 2 times as many songs on it

mp3 songs... mine has 128mb and holds about 23 songs (about 2 hours)
