i gram=199/500
=0.395 c
=0.4 c

To get the unit price which in this case is grams/dollars, you have to divide the price (1.99) by the quantity (500). This will be your answer.

Divide it by 500. $1.99/500 for 1 gram. That's 0.398 cents for one gram.

Edit: I didn't see the part about rounding. 0.4 cents/gram

1g of sour cream costs <.5cents, so the answer would be $0.00. I got that by dividing 1.99 by 500. They probably mean per kg, in which case you would multiply 1.99 by 2 to get $3.98
