Yes it is. I can't stand it. There was Christmas stuff in the store at Halloween this year!
My favorite part of the Holidays is just spending time with my family.

I think the commercialization of Christmas has become part of our generations' holiday traditions, much like cutting down the family christmas tree in the past. Now families come together to stand in line the day after Thanksgiving together for 8 hours just to get that lap top computer at 50% off and that digital camera grandma wanted for $50 ( I should know, my family did just that). As with all holidays it isn't really about what you're doing as long as you spend the time with the people that you love. I know that the 8 hours I spent in front of Best Buy with my dad and my brothers was some of the best quality time we have had in a long time as we had nothing but each other to pass the time and try to keep our minds off the cold.

All the holidays are too commercialized especially Christmas. It's so bad food companies pull out certain things they only sell for this time of year. Everything from music artist to band aids are doing. Snowman band aids and Barbie with the special edition Elmo toy. What the hell is that all about? I mean really now. The best thing about the holiday is the giving. You can't top that look on peoples faces when they open there presents and it's something they really wanted.

I definitely think so. I think too many people forget that Christmas is about celebrating, about caring and sharing. Instead it's become this huge shopping frenzy and all that matters is who got the biggest or the best.
I think that the best thing about the holiday and it's shopping frenzy is the fact that many people become more generous; often times purchasing items for people they normally would not.
It's a double-edged sword, really.
I guess my answer doesn't really help much. I'm just going to go back to preparing for Yule.

Yes, too commercialized. I can't stand it. Everything is advertised as a 'gift giving idea', even air freshener !
I like getting together with friends and family. It's fun to have a nice dinner, or drinks.
I enjoy the Christmas tree decorating parties.

A little bit, I hate the way it keeps getting earlier & earlier every year, for me it spoils the atmosphere.
I celebrate christmas for the time of year, as a solstace (is that how you spell it?!) I suppose, as I am not religious but I'm not big on the commercial side either, although I feel like both are rammed down my throat on a daily basis since August!
I just want to enjoy this time of year for what it is to me & my family not to other people.

I feel like such a Bah-Humbug anymore and I think it is because it starts before Halloween anymore. Our store's had Halloween items and Christmas decorations at the same time! Come on!!!!!! Give us a break already. Black Friday is when Christmas season should start. Don't push me any earlier, or I'm going to keep getting grumpier on the matter!!

no way! I even work in retail and it's the greatest thing to watch the decoration go up!
I still pace myself with Christmas gifts and try to get the best deals.
The best thing about Christmas is decorating the Christmas tree!

I detest that stores had stuff out before Thanksgiving.
I celebrate the Winter Solstice and ask the Goddess to bring back the light.
