It , according to the song by Crystal Gayle - Don't it make my brown eyes blue

The most common reason is tinted contact lenses. However, sometimes a person's eyes will change color on their own. I don't know why it happens, but it does. For instance, most babies are born with blue eyes and they end up changing later on. My eyes switch between dark green, hazel, and brown all the time. Sometimes I even have a gold ring around my pupils while other times the ring isn't there. So really it isn't anything to worry about.

perhaps if you have hazel eyes and are around blue objects or wear blue clothes... my friend's eyes SUPPOSEDLY change but her eyes are probably hazel... anyways or colored contact lenses which are quite a sum of money.
