am sick and tired of racism! will you people ever let the colour of skin seperates the whole world? i dont go around calling you Rednecks,white trash Bird sh*t etc...

Redneck is a term from someone in the southern states of America. White trash is also a term applied to white people from these states in America. Neither is a valid insult to use on a British person. I guess bird sh*t is pretty offensive to anyone, but I did not know this was a racial insult.
Technically n*ga or n*gga is a rap music term for a man, usually a close friend. N*gger is the racial insult.
Anyway there are quite a lot of idiots and racists in every country I have visited not just Britain. I would say that probably 1 in 10 people in Britain are racists.
I don't understand racism myself, I think every person has greatness inside them and was made to do some good.

I'm sorry to hear that you've suffered racial abuse, there is always one fool in a crowd.
Not all British people are racialist, I would hope only a minority.
Until recently, I believed that my own heritage was thoroughly Scottish Irish and English. When my Grandmother died, one of my aunts did some family Genealogy on my mothers side of the family who lived in India before the war.
It so happens that I have a great great grandmother who was Jewish, and a great great grandmother who was Indian and happened to be a Muslim.
My point being is that there are British people walking around who are of mixed blood without ever realizing the fact.
Obviously for these marriages to work their must have been love between two people of different cultures, all them years ago.
The Jewish Ancestor married a Scottish Soldier, their children were then raised in the Protestant Faith.
One child (my Jewish Christian ancestor) Married a Muslim lady, their children were also raised as Protestants.
So I hope I've given you a small window into British history and culture, more complicated than you might have guessed.
It is always foolish to generalise an opinion upon a community, as in the case of Muslims, but it is equally foolish to class all British people as rascialists.
My longterm partner (girlfriend) happens to be half British and half black South African.
Out of a hundred people we meet I'd say twenty people are racialist, but when you analyse their character, they so happen to be the least intelligent and educated, which speaks for itself.

I'm not dumb and I'm not racist. Clearly what was said to you was insulting regardless of whether or not it was a racial slur commonly used for people of your ethnicity or otherwise. And in addition to being racist, the kid that said it is obviously stupid for not realising this. However, your 'you people' reference doesn't make you much better than the kid in question and other ignorant people like him. I'm sure your reaction is due to venting at being racially abused and you say that you're an Arab so it's probably not the first time with the stereotypical perception of muslims in contemporary British society. But your response just brings you down and merely feeds the stereotype and the racism that you're subject to.

Please don't call British racist. Even in Arab countries your own people do not like Infidels or foreigners. I have visited and lived in many parts of the world and not one of them you could call anti racist. The worst by far, India. As a foreigner, see what you have pay to get into the Taj Mahal compared to an Indian.

It's you who are racist because one comment about your skin and you get upset . Obviously you dislike your own skin because in a Western country, you automatically feel different. I think you have probably experienced a fair bit of racism in your time.It seems some people are using the "N" word against all non white people.It is a very powerful racist term that seems to have maximum impact(understanderably).I admire you for letting others now how racism impacts on you.I have been slated on here for my anti racism values but i don't care as these are values i have instilled in my children and i beleive this is the only way to combat racism for future generations.Stick up for yourself but remember there are British people who agree with you and who are also horrified at the level of racism that excists in our society.

The term redneck and the stereotyping of British people as dumb and racist is,in itself, racist. Just as offensive is the phrase - you people. Racism is totally unacceptable no matter who practices it. The fact of the matter is this is a white, christian country that allows other colours, religions and races to integrate themselves into our society. People who are prepared to integrate and live in mutual harmony and respect can only add to the richness of British society. Yet, sadly, there are those whose only desire is to disrupt society, sometimes violently. Their aim is to convert the world to Islam so as to create Paradise on earth.
This is one of the most tolerant countrys on earth and has always welcomed immigrants, often to our detrement.
During the 1st Gulf war our christian, white troops in Saudi Arabia weren't even allowed to celebrate Christmas or hold any religious ceremonies whatsoever. How intolerant and ignorant is that?
And no. Not all muslims are terrorists but the majority of terrorists are muslim.

I realise you're angry, but I promise you we're not all like that.

To be honest, I think it's just what young men can be like. If you weren't a different skin colour, they'd start on you over clothes or football teams. They have no life, so they just want to wind other guys up, maybe have a fight.

Sorry bout your experiences mate. The problem may be caused by other ppl claiming a specific faith & using it as an excuse to blow things up. Therefore, filters down to others causing a bad reputation. What also may not help is the immigration issue meaning the British turn into the MINORITY

I'm not an Arab, but I am a Muslim. Living here, we should be more tolerant of the majority than they are of us. So you calling British people racists (and asking if they're dumb) probably doesn't help matters.
