As much as I hate to admit this
I actually am beginning to like Jeter.
He's shown alot of class lately.
And I respect that.
Plus he did some pretty amazing things in the playoffs.
He carried the whole team on his back.

During the 5 game sweep last August, the Red Sox actually led on the Monday afternoon game with David Wells pitching. Jeter came up and I instinctively was nervous as a Red Sox fan. Much more so than when A-Rod was up. Unfortunately my instinct was correct. Jeter is willing to play all out in a manner than many ballplayers would not. Too bad that he plays for the Yankees, that's all.

i imagine A-rod’s actual understand-how are unequalled with the aid of all people contained in the activities, he can hit for uncomplicated and ability and can want to field as well. That being stated i imagine Jeter is a extra efficient participant. Jeter does each thing that make him an entire participant. alongside with the hitting and fielding, he's the first guy to seek for suggestion from including his teammate at the same time as they make an blunders, or the first to congratulate a participant for paying for a occupation milestone. He’s might want to no longer be the guy that hits the game prevailing homerun yet he's the guy that begins both out rally with a base hit and rankings from first on a unmarried down the line. to boot, the actual incontrovertible fact that Jeter hasn't ever no longer made the playoffs in his occupation speaks volumes of the guy.

Derek Jeter because he has better leadership skills. A-Rod, at times, doesn't step up to the plate. He chokes when he is needed. Jeter stands up and leads the Yankees through times of trouble.

Both crazy good players. I like Jeter better. I respect him, and what he does. He's a true Yankee, and a real team player. A-rod also got his good points.

They are good players, yes. But I hate the Yankees, so I like neither. And Jeter gets way too much attention, the guy is more like a movie star than a baseball player, with all the media coverage he gets.

What do you mean by like? Arod is by far the superior player and would be the starting shortstop on my team. Jeter is a media darling who has excelled in the ideal situation, therefore receiving much more acclaim than he is due. Over the course of his career there have been much better hitters and much better fielders, but b/c he plays in NY little Derek receives positive press every time he makes a routine play.

I met Jeter, and although I'm a huge Red Sox fan and I hate the Yankees, I absolutely respect Jeter. He is a very nice guy. The same thing goes for A-Rod. I also don't know why so many Red Sox fans hate him. He wanted to come to Boston FOR LESS MONEY!!!!! But in the postseason, A-Rod is not the guy you want to have. Jeter is.

Jeter by far. he is a true Yankee and has four rings. he is clutch and performs at what seems like a different level in the playoffs. he is the leader of the greatest franchize ever and he stays poised under all the pressure he is under. Until a-rod performs well in the playoffs and he gets a ring he in my mind is not a true Yankee.
