I've looked in Mouse properties and there are no settings for the touchpad. The Computer is running XP Professional.

All you have to do is right click on the icon in the taskbar that resembles the touchpad, click Mouse Properties then click on the Touchpad tab. The very first box that you can put a check in, take the check out then click OK. That should do it!
