Have a sleep over with some of your closest friends and do fun things like play Apples to Apples and have a cleanest/messiest ice cream eating contest. My daughter had that one before and it was really fun. Take lots of pictures too during it and after. You must have everyone eat ice cream without any spoons or forks (they must use their mouths "only" (usually ends up all over their faces and in their hair too). Make sure your parents are up for all of this right after Christmas before you plan this. What about cosmic bowling(that's cool too). Happy Birthday and have fun!!!!!

Your choices depend a lot on where you are - what the local resources are.

As a general rule, parties where things happen are the most fun - which means either going out or bringing someone in. Workshops, where people are taught to do something - sky diving can be expensive, but there are other choices. A Karaoke party where everyone gets to make and keep an individual recording. A mini-modeling session (for boys or girls or both) where a good photographer comes in and shows people basic tricks to modeling, and each guest gets a picture to keep. An Emeril style cooking class, where a personal chef comes in and shows you and your guests how to do a special meal - something you have chosen in advance (there have to be some perks to being the birthday person).
Look around your city - neighborhood - region - and see what's there. Find something YOU would really like to do or learn or take part in (even something as basic as go-kart racing) and go for it.

Think portable - bring the food in a box, picnic style - or each guest is asked to bring a box lunch, unmarked, and they're all switched around.

Happy Birthday!
