I had a molar pregnancy and D&C in July and have had to be on BC since. I HATE BC! I am so moody and i never want to have sex which is really bothering my husband!
What can i do!? I hate this, i can't get off bc because i can't get pregnant for a year! My doctor wants me on it!
This sucks and is stressing my husband out! And I feel like a horrible person! I have been to my doctor 3 times to switch bc, but i just don't think bc and I are a good mix!
Any ideas to help with libido?

Yes i think it is from the BC, because when i have those 7 days without the pills, i'm totally in the mood, i'm happier but unfortunatly have my period! It works, but it's messy!
So i have been considering switching to condoms and sperimicide! Maybe on those really fertile days those and pulling out!
My OB/GYN says i can't get pregnant for a year so they can monitor this molar pregnancy! To ensure it doesn't grow back!

I had a molar pregnancy in 2001 and I refused BC afterward because I had already been on it before for nearly 8 years and I was sick of it. My doctor wasn't happy about it, but my husband and I used condoms and spermicide and everything was fine. The key is not to get pregnant during your wait time, using whatever method works for you.

If you figure it out, please let me know. I am a newlywed and have noooooooooooo sexual desire because of birth control. The only advice I can give you is to try to switch. Your doc should help you with that...mine has 3 times, but I've yet to find one that doesn't make me miserable. My friend is on Desogen and she still has a huge sex drive. It could be determined more by the individual and how they react to a particular pill though. I would say it's all just trial and error.

As far as libido, the one night my husband and I did have sex recently, it was because he gave me a back massage first with some scented lotion. We lit candles and put on sensual music. It helped get me in the mood a little bit, because my body definitely wasn't doing it on its own. I would say try a sexy atmosphere and see if your mind can trick your body into responding.

Have you discussed an IUD with your doctor? I had one between pregnancies and loved it. It was mildly uncomfortable when inserted, but no side effects, no pills or patches to remember; and when we decided to add another child I simply had it removed and the next month I was pregnant.

I'm obviously NOT a doc and don't know that it is the right direction for you. Maybe a lower hormone dosage pill would help as well.

Good luck!

I don't really have an answer, but my wife is not in the mood nearly as much either since she has been on BC. I never really related it to the BC until I just read your question. Do you really think that is the problem? I've thought about getting "fixed" just so she won't have to take them. If it will make her more in the mood, I may get the scisors out and do it myself!! Please let me know if you really think that is what is causing this. Thanks and good luck.

try a little drink to get you tippsy and then have hubby give you a warm lotion massage tell him before hand to start at your shoulders and back then legs then but then arms then turn over and start with legs then skip up to your chest and work his way down . do this on your bed put in a little movies if your comfy and the message should take about 20-30 mins and you can tell him to spend more time in spots!!!!

Take a vacation in Canada where you can get an intrauterine device, (i.u.d.) installed by a qualified gynecologist. American doctors are either loath to install the appliance or cannot get them from the manufacturer.
They are safe. The infection problem, of 20 years ago, was caused by one or more i.u.d. manucturers using a multi strand string, which wicked up bacteria into the vagina. (all i.u.d.'s now, are made of single strand strings.
i.u.d's are just as effective as b. c. p.'s.

Do the world a favor and have your tubes tied, and adopt a child that does not have a home. This planet has plenty of children already. You then could solve two problem at once.--- get your libido back, and have a child all at the same time.

See another doctor as BC should not stop you form being horny.
Or tell him you want another kind of BC.
The cold hard fact is if you don't use it you'll lose it. so don't lose your sex drive or drive your husband to satifly his somewhere else.

the warmer you are the more bloodflow down there..... what if you go back to basics aka condoms and get off bc, if you're really desperate watch porn, or just look really sexy, and go in public, the attention will probably get you excited, and then surprise your hubby somewhere risky, have him there........ danger=excitment .... get out of your box, be kinky and adventerous....

go off the pill and use condoms. it might be not as nice for your husband, but it will take care of the pill problem. just make sure you have the Plan B pill if it breaks.
