No, but I believe death row inmates should have their organs harvested to it make possible for law abiding citizens who needs organ transplant to live longer. I, for one, if ever I find myself in the death row for a hideous crime I committed, I would volunteer to have my organs harvested and provided to some others in need of organ transplant.

In my opinion, no.
Under the law, the State is required to maintain the health of their inmates and provide reasonable medical treatment for the duration of their sentence, even if they are on death row. Now whether organ transplants are considered reasonable, I don't know and may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but I doubt any death row inmate would be eligible for the organ transplant list anyway.
Plus, I'd think any death row inmates would probably refuse that kind of treatment, and medical treatment cannot be forced upon anyone unless they are not acting of sound mind and body.

Thousands of people die daily waiting on organ transplants. The truth is prisoners..even death row inmates can receive organs. It's considered cruel and unusual punishment to deny that to them..like them killing and tortuing somebody was nice and sweet..DUH!!! In the US it seems very unfair that a young mother or father or child will die without a heart or liver or kidney but we will give it to a murderer who will just die in a few months..isn't America great.? I do agree with whoever said that the govt should auto. take organs from people who die and use them for transplantation but that would be almost impossible..organs die within minutes of brain death..

no, and before you get started what state will provide a trans plant for any prisoner ? I know several who died in federal prison who only had about 5 year sentence , nor would they let their family pay for the transplant. I think it is a shame that they were treated that way, the only crime this one guy did was he had some drugs for his own use , but, what they gave him equals a death sentence,

With the lack of availability of organs for transplant,I very much doubt that one would be offered.

Well I would say yes, because they're still humans and if we can do anything to save them then, I think we should. On the other hand though, if a death row inmate was incarcerated due to harming/hurting my family or friend I probably wouldn't feel the same way and would want them to suffer.

we shouldn't have any death row prisoners! murders are nuts by definition. our legal definition of what's nuts is nuts. thank god there are 12 states that do not have the death penalty. and some have them have lower muder rates than states with the death penalty.

Not over others needing them. There are priorities, given the scarcity of organs, and those most likely to tolerate them or to have a longer life with them are given priorities and should be.

of course not- what is the point? There are plenty of deserving contributing members of society on the waiting list too.
