I'm wondering if, since CA is known as a laid back, sunny state, is it more laid back to teach in San Diego and other parts of CA than it is in other parts of the US?

I teach in San Diego area as well... The weather here is perfect, which makes the day go by as well.... Sure, there are days where its REALLY HOT AND HUMID, and days were you just love living here.....

The changes in weather (like this week) is perfect to teach children about climate and seasons that we have... as we see windy, hot, rainy, and winter in same week ;-)

I went to grade school through graduate school in San Diego and had only 1 laid back teacher. That was in my sophomore year in college in a class called Environmental Sciences...what else.

My father was a professor at SDSU and laid back was not in is vocabulary. So no I don't think teaching in SD is any less demanding on the teachers or the students then in any other part of the country.
