It is possilbe to erase songs off a CD if the CD is CD-RW. If it is a CD-R, you cannot erase the songs. If it is CD-RW, open My Computer and search the CD and on the left hand margin you should see a option to erase the contents of the CD.

You can only erase songs from a CD if it's a Re-Writeable CD.
CD's function by being microscopically 'pitted' with a laser. When you put a CD in your player, the laser is reading those pits which have been burned into the thin layer of dye on the back of a CD.
Normal CD-Rs cannot be erased. CD-RWs can.

Only if the CD is rewritable, otherwise no.
