I don't have any money. I don't want to ask dad for money to buy his own presents. I don't get allowance. We have a mailman and I can't mow grass because of snow. Everybody shovels thier own driveway. Elderly people get the city to do thier driveway.

A part time job. Lots of jobs are seasonal this time of year. Go to the mall and wrap presents.

Give coupon books. You don't need money. Offer your time. How much does it cost to mow a lawn, clean the house. It may be 100 to clean someones house. 20 dollars to mow the lawn. 25 to wash and wax a car by hand. A nite of hot chocolate and a good board game with your dad. Twelve redeemable coupons that are traded in all year long. Make it yourself of all the things you know that someone would love at the spur of the moment. Don't worry grandma I have a make dinner for you coupon. Don't worry dad I will do it for you, an anything you want coupon. I don't think people should be forced to spend money they don't have to buy people something they may not even want, but a coupon book, my treat to a movies, a treat at the ice cream parlor for mom. There are so many things you can think of and you don't have to shake your piggy bank down to the pennies and quiet as it's kept mom will pay for the ice cream because it's something you two will be doing together. Think about it. If your folks are the kind that want a gift well you can make a coupon for later in the year and get it when the pressure to buy isn't so great. I think christmas is the biggest commercial scam, it makes one feel inadequate if they don't get big glamorous gifts and then pay for it all year long. It's so sad. I can afford it but I spend money all year long and loan money cook dinners pay for nites out and excetera things. Why do I have to clean out my savings for 1 day in the year and buy even more stuff because someone tells me I am a looser if I don't buy a lot of stuff for people. They want you to spend alot of money so that the CEO's will get their bonus of 1.5 million if everyone empties their wallets as christmas time. It's a crime. If you give coupon books be prepared to honor it and not say I don't feel like it because then you had no feeling behind it when you did it.

You don't NEED money for Christmas presents. We've just been taught to think that we do. The corporate retail giants have turned the holiday into a materialistic consumer frenzy. It's become a parody of the true holiday. Make hand-made/home-made gifts; they are less expensive and much more meaningful. And spend quality time with your friends and family...that's what the holidays are really about.
You don't need to spend money at Christmas time...why should you make Macy's, Nordstroms, Wal-Mart, Gap, and American Eagle corporations richer?

Try to get a part time job, there are tons of places hiring right now because the Christmas season is a really busy time for stores. Look to local stores in your town and apply. Also, there are lots of stores that you can apply online, like CVS, Wallgreens and Staples.

You could also babysit kids in your neighborhood, I'm sure someone is looking for a babysitter. Ask all your parents friends if they need a babysitter.

Get a job - part time, something that fits into your schedule. You can also make little crafty stuff on your own. It's really personal and doesn't require a lot of money to do.

Check out these sites, you may get an idea of what you can make:

You can also google "homemade gifts" to find something that you like.

Easy...I had the same problem before.. Go to your local community rec-center the will always have a job for you, and it is most likely to be easy as pie. If that doesn't work go to your town's board..they have so many job unfilled and for after school hours....GOOD LUCK!

you don't really need money for gifts, just make coupons for your folks, like good for one cleaning of the garage, or good for one complete cleaning of the house. Your parents will love them.
