I use to drink sodas (Mtn. Dew) every day, at least 5 or 6
I drank so many that I started having stomach problems.
I ended up in the hospital. Mtn. Dew was eating away my
stomach lining. I was on IV's 8 days because my stomach
wouldn't hold any food. Now I drink mostly water, every
now and then I'll drink a soda (Dr. Pepper)., but not like I
use to do.

It is extremely high in sugar.
It has caffeine.
It has no nutritional value whatsoever.
The carbonation factor makes it produce acid, which could be damaging to you esophogus and intestines.
If the Pepsi is Diet Pepsi then it has an artifical sweetener which could be bad if you drink it too often, but even if you drink it only occasionally the artificial sweeteners often cause intestinal problems such as diarrhea.
With the exception of the caffeine, which not all soda has, everything else applies to all sodas.
(You really should just use Google for all your research instead of giving me points for another person's answer.)

Only you can be responsible for you. You are hearing your intuition and you know it is not good for you in fact it is slowly killing you just like smoking. Not noticeable but the effects are life altering. there are tons of sites you can look up info. with regards to pops and it's effect.Yo do not need to feel why you want it then deal with those feelings. It is not about the pop those are symptoms of an emotional issue, deal with the emotion then you do not have to deal with the symptom. Like any dis-ease deal with the cause not the symptom.
I have not been here for a while but check out
www.educate-yourself.org and there is some really amazing facts about all kinds of stuff. Take only what you need and leave the rest. good health and may your journey to healing yourself be filled with joy, forgivness and gratitude.

The sugar in familiar soda is relatively undesirable for you. It makes your blood sugar spike, your pancreas squirts out quite some insulin, and whilst the blood sugar is all used up you nevertheless have all this insulin on your equipment. it quite is a marvel to the equipment! yet eating ordinary soda isn't undesirable for you. you may drink a undeniable volume of liquid besides. in case you have a vulnerable bladder, do no longer blame it on soda. 8^) it might have got here approximately with an equivalent volume of water.

I'm 60 & my brain cells are doing just fine, thank you very much! Try switching to diet or caffeine-free Pepsi. After you've gotten used to that then switch to diet, caffeine-free. Too much caffeine is bad for your nerves and heart. Too much sugar can cause obesity and diabetes. You don't have to be obese to become diabetic. Diabetes causes vision loss, kidney & heart failure & severe circulatory problems often resulting in amputations.
Water is important but I've read that it doesn't matter in what form you drink it. Pepsi is mostly water. Drink lots of fluids.

Soda will eat a hole in your stomach causing all your stomach acid to leak into your body burning through other organs and causing severe pain. Drinking soda is listed #5 on the top ten list of most painful ways to die. Scary enough or should I go into explicit detail?

Ug,
The more soda you drink, the less water you drink. You need at least 8 glasses of water a day to keep your body healthy, inside and out.

ok...well it probaly will make you gain wieght someday. but, also, if you switch to diet, there is a chemical in it that will destroy brain cells if you drink too much. the sugar makes ou really tired after you get a short period of energgy from the caffine. in the long run, it is not good for you. besides, the carbonation and sugar (and everything else in it) will make your teeth enamle wear off, ahich is not good, because it protects your teeth and prevents stains.
ok there, thats scares me...
