The rule in our family is that if you don't believe you don't receive.
I knew a woman who didn't believe in Santa (duh). A few years ago she was going through an ugly divorce, and we were chatting after Thanksgiving. I asked her what she wanted for Christmas. She told me she wasn't getting anything because of the divorce. I asked her what she WANTED, she said she'd always wanted a ruby and diamond bracelet. I told her if she believed in Santa, anything was possible. She told her friends about our conversation, and probably that my family is a little crazy about the whole Santa thing.
She called me after Christmas that year, and under the tree with her childrens' toys and the school-made gifts from her kids was a small box with her name on it, and inside was a ruby and diamond bracelet.
BTW-I had nothing to do with the bracelet under the tree. I know none of her friends & she lives hundreds of miles away.

I always believe in the magic of Santa. My "kids" are now 23, 21, 19, and 17. They were told long ago "when you stop believing in Santa, he stops coming." They still believe and he still leaves gifts under the tree for them on Christmas morning. Ho, ho, ho!

Santa is fictional but fun. Someone heard what she wanted and put it under the tree. (Christ)mas is about Jesus.
