If there was no Take That in the first place then we would not even know who Robbie Williams is. So I'd say he needed them, they did not need him. I saw the show tonight aswell and even though I am not a fan I thought they were pretty good. Their new music has matured and I think it will appeal to the older generation now. Robbie will continue to be a big seller but it is thanks to Take That that he will. Good luck to them.

Ive followed take that since they played at my local school before they became famous and i always believed Robbie to be the special member Ive watched take that and Robbie in concert and Robbie is far better i have just watched the show and believe they were missing Robbie and they were better when they were a 5 but both parties have moved on Robbie will continue to be massive and have many more number ones as i think take that will just the same as other bands that have got back together and their new songs have to be up to date or they will struggle to sell
good question though

Robbie played to 360,000 people at Knebworth in 3 nights. Take That would never get that response. That was the best concert I have ever seen and even Mark showed up one night.
Robbie is so much better on his own, and yes, he has got TT to thank for getting him there.

I am a 45 yr old woman with a daughter of 24 who is besotted with Take That & Robbie Williams.
I went to see them myself in 1994 in Belgium (I lived there then) when Robbie was still part of the group and I have got to say that they don't need Robbie...... they were BRILLIANT!
Loved the show, dances, singing.... basically everything!

No, they don't need him. They proved that on the tour. In response to the comments about Howard and Jason's looks, that's your opinion. I used to think Robbie was gorgeous, now I think he's aging badly. And about Knebworth, I'm sure Take That fans would jump at the chance of seeing them at a venue like that, their tours sold out quicker than Robbie's ever did.

Take That did not need him - no. But then on the other hand he did not need Take That either - he has talent in his own right, and Take That are still just as good..if not better than the first time round. Good on all of 'em...including Robbie.

Robbie was never a big part of Take That, and they are just as good without him.

Not a massive fan but must admit they could do with his looks. Just see the audience with and the Howard and Jason ones look like a coupleof rag and bone men!
