is it possible to connect xbox to my laptop??

Assuming your xbox is already modded. Yes, you can do it without a router. Get a hold of a ethernet crossover cable and plug one end into the xbox and the other end into the PC. Manually set both IP addresses to be in the same network. (e.g. 1.1.1.1 and 1.1.1.2) After that just FTP into the xbox and everything should be fine.

If you got a router and an ethernet cord...yeah.
