To a man, this is a no-brainer. You get a win-win situation. However, if you get the advancement ahead of your talent, then it becomes obvious to those around you that you 'slept your way to the top' and your reputation will suffer. A reputation in business is everything and can mean the difference between that NEXT promotion and being left behind.
The best way to get ahead is by your talent and integrity. Yeah, Yeah, everyone SAYS that business is a dog-eat-dog world, but the real winners are those who don't haave to subrogate themselves to get to the top.

Hi Reo,
Before you decide ask yourself a few questions.
1. Am I THE BEST for this job WITHOUT the bedroom rodeo?
2. What happens if my boss gets wacked?
3. Do I actually LIKE the guy and share things in common with him beside the career?
Guys are PIGS and promise what they can't deliver, so BEWARE. You do the deal, he can't deliver and you are let go. Then you have the whole "SH" suit to deal with.
I left a company once for a 100% increase and the president countered. I asked him, "What did I do yesterday that made me worth this increase that I have not done for the last year"? He didn't have an answer.
If you decide to go ahead with it there will ALWAYS be the question, "Which skills got me my current position"? Unfortunately you can't put that skill on a resume when the relationship blows up and IT WILL based upon how it formed. You might also be thrown into a position that you are NOT qualified for and then you are screwed, NO pun intended.
HAH, I have slept with people but NEVER GOT there with the promotion carrot. If the guy can't get you in the bedroom without the BS, then he is an (*) and you should start looking for a new job.

Only if I would sleep with them even if it didn't mean career advancement.
I'm not the type of guy to turn down sex, add to that a promotion, that's win-win.
