I just installed xp home on the computer but the monitor resolution is at 640 by 480 what can I do to fix it.I went to control panel and it won't let me change it to anything else. I tried installing this monitors driver but nothing changed. Any ideas?

Hi there,

Right click on My Computer > Properties > Hardware Tab > Device Manager and check for the Yellow Question or Yellow Exclaimation marks...is it your Video Card? If yes then install the drivers.

To get more info about the driver updates, mention the Graphic card name and the model number.

Yes, my friend. It's definitely video (graphic) drivers that need installing.

yeah, your problem is the video graphics card drivers. install them on the CD that came with your video card. if you got your computer like dell. it should have came on a disk labled: Drivers.

Right click the desktop, choose properties, choose settings, move the slider to the resolution you want, choose apply, choose Yes.

What about video card drivers.Have you install them.
