While they have no trouble taking the time off from work or school, shopping the sales and reapping the benefits of the season and celebration, they aren't "Christ-like". Continue to say "Merry Christmas"! Jesus is the reason for the Season! And continue to love and have compassion for them, for they are fools and know not what they do!

The problem is you probably are not familiar with their religion. They may be Jewish and in that case they do get upset because they don't believe in Jesus Christ. If they are Muslim they don't like it either as they believe that Mohamed is the true savior. So in the short, be sure that you say Merry Christmas to those who believe in Jesus Christ and if you don't know just wish them Happy Holidays. If that makes them mad, just ignore them.
