"I would thing it to be a free country if there...."
1) There's a nearby newspaper featuring an article blasting something that has to do with the government, AKA Freedom of the Press.
2) You see tolerance of different religions and races. AKA Freedom of Religion AKA nondiscrimination AKA the Right to Exist
3) The government had to have warrants to search something, there was something similar to Miranda rights, and there were trials by jury.
AKA rights of the accused AKA the government not holding someone or punishing anyone without due reason
