Check www.snopes.com to see if there is any truth to the email.

Rarely, if ever, are those emails genuine.

Those emails are all jokes/scams. You should definitely put them in your spam folder.

I mean, think about it. Why would they send you money for forwarding someone some sob story? What would be the gain for that?

Not saying anything about you, but I wonder how the people who started this even thought that it would work for a minute.

Rarely. You can check them out at www.snopes.com or www.truthorfiction.com if you want to make sure, but they are almost never real. Companies cannot track emails. However, many websites will donate money for every click they receive, and those are often real.

Rule of thumb with emails: If it tells you to forward it to everyone you know, don't forward it.

You can check it out at
www.snopes.com

This is a wonderful site to check out scams and hoaxes. Just type some key words from the email into the search field, and you will most likely find it.

They are hardly ever true. Disney is not going to donate anything and Microsoft will NEVER pay anybody for forwarding emails. All that happens when you forward to your friends is that you are exposing their email addresses to spammers. To check out emails go to http://snopes.com/. You will find virtually all of those emails you get are hoaxes.
