No. You won't get rewarded for taking extra good care of an apartment or typically ever get a deposit back no matter what you do to clean or paint on move-out. Leave your apartment decently clean and don't worry about it. No matter how hard I tried to take good care of an apartment while living there or clean upon moving, I never once got my deposit back. I finally learned from that and never made any further attempt to take close care of a rental while living there or to do any move-out effort whatsoever.

No, but it's a good idea to clean it up nicely when you move out and fix anything that looks broken, or that you broke while living there.
Painting the apartment is the job of the landlord before the next tenant moves in.

I never did. If you painted it some crazy color like bright red or zebra stripes, the landlord may want you to re-paint to make the apartment more re-rentable. But fixing up the apartment for the next tenant is their responsibility. I would check your lease and/or talk to your landlord. If you agreed to it in the lease then you are bound to do it.

It depends on the lease agreement you signed. If you painted you apartment other then the color you moved into, then you might have to paint it back to that original color.

You don't really have any legal obligation to unless it's in your stated in your lease, but if you changed the color or have stained them a lot it may be a good idea to do so. It would look good on you if a future landlord calls back for a reference and you were in the clear, as well as if you would like a security deposit back.

if your lease/contract doesn't say to--then no--they must accept normal wear and tear-unless you painted it without their permission when you moved in-then if a shabby job--yes
