My 80GB Ipod screen is frozen. I picked up my laptop and the usb cable slipped out accidentally while (I think) the iPod was about to appear in iTunes. I tried reconnecting the iPod but nothing happened for hours while I went to work. It now shows the no access sign, "Do not disconnect.", and the lock icon still shows despite locking and unlocking the switch. I tried the reset with Play + Circle and even Menu + Circle but nothing happens. Please help if you know how to alleviate this issue.

You need to reset your iPod, unplug it from the computer if you haven't already make sure that the lock switch is in the unlock position, then place the iPod on a hard surface such as a desk or table, and press on the click wheel on the top, where it says menu. hold this down till the iPod turns off and then comes back on with the apple logo this could take up to 20 or 30 seconds. (that's on a third generation iPod anyway, think it should be similar on iPod Video).

iPod Issues?
These five steps (known as the five Rs) will conquer most iPod issues.
1. Reset your iPod.
2. Retry with a different USB port.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Reinstall iPod and iTunes software.
5. Restore your iPod.

See source for details on how to do these five things.
