The first couple of years in college primarily cover the basics. You get those out of the way and concentrate on your major the last couple of years. If you want to continue with your foreign language studies, you could be a translator or work in Germany. If you continue with your music, you could become a professional musician. Chemistry and Biology are basic courses which could lead to you becoming a scientist, like a researcher or doctor. Some sales positions require a science background. Any of these courses, if pursued could also lead you to a career in teaching. If you are confused about what you want to do in college or with your life, most major colleges and universities offer preferences tests. These are usually given at the career centers. There are no right or wrong answers, you merely answer questions honestly about your preferences. Most schools require you to meet with a counselor after the test is scored and they will go over it with you and offer some possible career options for you to consider based upon your answers. It is a way to help you to focus and possibly offer some choices which you may not have considered. There is usually no charge involved when you are enrolled in the college. Some of these tests may also be offered on line.
