Yes yes yes. It's a great idea. Rabbits bond with eachother and it is more fun to watch them interact. The best pair is generally a neutered male and a spayed female. Spaying/neutering cuts down on territorial issues no matter what pair you decide on. If you already have one, get her spayed, then talk to a shelter or resuce and see if you can bring her in to pick out a friend for herself. Otherwise, many rescues have already bonded pairs.
Here is some bonding information for you from the House Rabbit Society. http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/introductions.html

I agree that two females is your best option. Most animals will enjoy a companion of the same species. Two males may fight occasionally, and there is an obvious problem with keeping a male and female together.

If you could get two young females from the same litter they would already be acquainted and you wouldn't have to worry about them not liking each other.

Good luck!

In general, female rabbits usually get along with each other fine.
There are occasions when there is a 'dominant' rabbit that can really torment the other. In that case, there's nothing you can do to make them 'like each other'.
It is pretty rare though, and you should be ok with two rabbit girls.

Actually i would not get a second rabbit for your other rabbit becuase all sexs of rabbits are territorial.

from my experience my two females try to kill one another. My female tries to kill my male. and when i bought a new male he tried to kill the other male

the only time it ever worked was when i got to baby bunnies from the same litter, one blind in one eye and one was the runt, and they have been together in the same cage loving eachother since

depends on your rabbits personallity i guess

i had 2 rabbits a boy and a girl. i had the boy fixed and they got along great. its hard to find a vet to fix rabbits because they are hard to put to sleep, but he came out of it just fine. i had the boy about a year before getting the girl and he didn't seem to mind being alone either.

It's best to buy two females (or two males) from the same litter, rather than try to "introduce" the two.

rabbits are just as happy with a great owner rather than competition for attention
